So it may not be the kind of art I intended making, but…

Aren’t they cute? I’ve learned to make these adorable gnomes and everyone’s getting them for Christmas this year, in addition to baked goodies my sister and I were able to make and ship out. Just a little token of our love and desire to let everyone in our lives know even though we can’t be together, per se, we are still with them in spirit.

My favorite shipment was to M&G, who live in DC. She works for a Congressman and he is an IT pro. They don’t have much family in this area at all and I’ve been talking to M, a fellow artist, a lot recently and know she’s really low and worried about their health, both with pre-existing conditions. Anyhow, we made them a little goody basket and off we went, my sister and I.

It felt so good to brighten their day and their world. And I know if the shoe were on the other foot, she’d have done the same. She DID do the same when we were friends playing bridge together in Germantown a decade ago. She’s a fabulous artist by the way, and takes classes through the Smithsonian and other places. I need to catch up!

Contemporary artist, seeker, writer. Curious to a fault. I let the fates take me where they will and never say no to an adventure. That has led me on some heart-stirring journeys and impetuous choices. I regret nothing.
